The iconographic theme - the Threnos - the mourning for Jesus - is shown surrounded by several characters: four angels above, around the catafalque the holy women and some men, below, four angels with the cross, the spear and the sponge, while the symbols of the four evangelists are placed in the four corners. The entire scene is surrounded by an embroidery with the donation inscription.
