Epitaph
The central scene represents the lowering into the tomb, but this time there are three other lateral scenes which illustrate, as in a narration, the last events of Jesus’ life on earth. From bottom left to top right the events are indicated in short Romanian inscriptions with Cyrillic letters: I. When they caught Christ II. They brought Christ to Caiaphas III. Jesus stands before Pillate. IV. Jesus stands before Herod V. Jesus is beaten at the stake VI. The crucifixion
