The book collects a bouquet of words of spiritual guidance from Archimandrite Hyacinth Unchuleac, abbot of the Putna Monastery between 1977 and 1992. To the sayings of Elder Hyacinth treasured by the monks of the Putna Monastery were added his words previously printed in Convorbiri duhovnicești (“Spiritual Conversations”) by Archim. Ioanichie Bălan and an interview given to journalist Mircea Motrici.

The volume, a humble gesture of gratitude for Father Hyacinth's service as an abbot and a spiritual guide, was published in 2015, declared by the Holy Synod of the Romanian Patriarchate as The Solemn Year of the Mission of the Parish and Monastery and The Commemorative Year of St. John Chrysostom and the Great Eparchial Shepherds of Souls.
