The volume is dedicated to Archimandrite Polycarp Matsaroglou, a supporter of the Putna Monastery both in its material and – especially – spiritual needs. We offer the Romanian readers a few words from Father Polycarp. We hope that his words, an additional interview about his saintly life, and several photographs can sketch the portrait of a friend of Romanian monasticism.

The book has been published on the seventh anniversary of his passing away into the Lord, with the support of the Macri Monastery in Alexandroupoli, Greece, where he served as a spiritual guide for more than 20 years.
